Use the whiteboard
The whiteboard gives the entire clinic one current view of patient flow.
1. Open Whiteboard
Confirmed visits appear in Waiting. Checked-in and in-exam visits appear in In Progress, with their provider, room, time, status, and operational notes.
2. Advance the visit
Use Check In when the patient arrives and Start Exam when clinical work begins. Completing checkout moves the visit into Completed.
3. Keep the board current
Complete checkout rather than leaving finished visits in an active state. The board is most useful when every handoff is reflected promptly.
