Closeout connects final clinical documentation, follow-up ownership, billing disposition, and the owner handoff.
1. Complete instructions
Record diagnosis summary, home-care instructions, medications, warning signs, and follow-up needs. Use an explicit reason when no additional instructions are required.
2. Assign follow-up
When follow-up is needed, add a due date and named teammate or connect the scheduled follow-up appointment.
3. Record the owner handoff
Document whether instructions were printed or downloaded, reviewed verbally, or declined by the owner before completing the visit.
